Join us for an elegant ball in an alternate universe set in Gotham City in 1895. Gotham City's most eligible bachelor, Bruce Wayne, requests the pleasure of your company at a grand ball at stately Wayne Manor (N.B. Our actual event site, the stately Alameda Elks Lodge, was built only a few years later - in 1909!).

Late Victorian, Edwardian, Steampunk, or modern evening dress is admired but not required.  Victorian versions of DC Comics costumes are also welcome.

No partners needed. After the 7 pm vintage ballroom dance lesson, Bangers & Mash plays an evening of late Victorian dance music ranging from elegant waltzes, mazurka waltzes, quadrilles, and mixers to lively polkas and two-steps, including some new-fangled American ragtime dance music.

Intermission entertainment includes performances by Miss Selena Kyle, star of the Gotham City Music Hal, and her colleagues Ivy, the mysterious Plant Woman and the remarkable new music hall comedian known only as "Jack."

Our usual excellent No Host bar will be available and a light snack buffet will be served (Alfred welcomes your potluck contributions!).
