It's Oscar Night in 1932 during Hollywood's most wildly creative season - the notorious Pre-Code era when women ruled the box office, censorship was scorned, and movies were wonderfully unpredictable.

Vintage or modern evening dress (white or black tie optional) is admired, but not required. But for the ladies who want to go all out for glamor, this is your opportunity to create the Oscar gown of your dreams.

Sara and Swingtime plays an evening of elegant vintage ballroom dance music (waltzes, tangos, fox trots, rumbas, sambas, etc.), cool blues, and hot Swing of the 1920's and 30's. For guests wishing to brush up on their vintage fox trot and East Coast Swing, there will be a pre-ball dance lesson starting at 7:00 p.m.

As usual, there will be a splendid no host bar and a light snack buffet will be served throughout the evening (your potluck contributions are always appreciated). Intermission entertainment includes both a half-time floor show and DJ dancing to the greatest hits of the early 30's.
